Neopets Empty Lantern

Sep 20, 2011 You have to go into the light shop in moltara and get an empty lantern (its free). Then you collect the worms in moltara they are all over the place and some are really rare to see.

Lutari Island was a location in Neopia on Neopets. Lutari Island was a tropical island on the other side of Neopia filled with Lutari.Released on June 24, 2006, Lutari Island was similar to Mystery Island in that its inhabitants and land it filled with wild colours and natives. It's a very mysterious island, as it's not rooted to the ground, but floats from place to place, never in the same place.

I spotted something red on the Moltara page. I clicked it and got a picture of a small red worm. Unfortunately, the message was
'What a neat looking worm. Too bad you have nowhere to put it.'
Does anyone know what this means or what I need to have a place to put the worm?

Go to the lantern shop and the shopkeeper will give you a lantern for free. Then keep looking for more worms, and they'll go into your inventory.

there is 10 worms to collect once you have your lantern
once you have all ten, you can click on the lantern in your inventory and select fill lantern

After you have filled your lantern, go to the cave next to the gilded page. randomly keep clicking left, right, etc until you find Red Moltite.
Then take your lantern back to the lantern shop.

First off, you must have the lantern. Which you receive from the RE in Lampwyck's Lights Fantastic.

1. Purple Worm is in Moltara Caves top left hand cave.
2. Green Worm appears on top of Cogs Togs.
3. Red Worm appears in front of the Town Hall.
4. Blue Worm appears at the base of the Petpetorium.
5. Rainbow appears in Moltara City in front of the entrance to the Caves.
6. Yellow Worm appears on the walkway to the left of the Petpetorium Sign.
7. Orange in front of the door to Tunnel Tumble.
8. Black Worm is in front of the Petpetorium.
9. Pink worm is in front of the Guard at the Magma Pool
10. White worm appears just above the lamp over the Molten Morsels Sign.
When you have all 10 worms, click on your lamp in Inventory and click the link to fill (you will then get this message:
'You put all ten worms into the Empty Lantern, creating a Brightly Lit Lantern!'
Proceed to the dark cave, next to The Gilded Page. Navigate your way through the cave, and try to avoid the lava monster, who will send you back to the cave entrance. Once you're at the end of the cave you will find the Red Moltite and your worms will get tired. You then go back to Lampwyck's Lights Fantastic. You will get a RE that says he will take care of your worms, and he will give you a Friendly Glowing Lantern (wearable).
The Red Moltite can be combined at Tangor's Workshop to make petpets.

Red Moltite, Shiny Obsidian, Miscellaneous Gears = Teek

I'm getting rather tired of the Moltara page not showing a rainbow worm, but on the plus side, I did manage to snag my first set of gears. Prices on both the gears and the scrap metal have gone up substantially, too.

Blue graffitied on my signature... But it made me laugh, so it's all good!

This is all so useful! I'm stuck though, aha. I only have to find the black, white, and rainbow wormy. They seem to really dislike me, I can never find them! Hopefully I'll find them soon.

I hate rainbow worms. I've spent an inordinate amount of time looking for one, and I'm about to give up. The gears are selling for more than the moltite anyway, and I found those for the first time yesterday but no worm. I could make more in games in the same time I spend searching...

I have now found 30 worms and made 3 new petpets.
I had a small problem on the 3rd day, I had some message saying I couldn't get a lantern when I went to the lamp shop.
It took less than 2 hours to get all 10 worms today. I just randomly refreshed the page while doing other things.

Just a simple Guide That will teach you how to get that stupid Tonu to open up the Magma pool for you 😀
Step 1] Visit Lampwyck’s Shop at the magma pool, and Get the “Empty Lantern”. You should see this:
Step 2] Collect the 10 Different Coloured Worms around the magma pool 😀 You find them at these locations:
1. Purple Worm: Moltara Caves: top left cave.
2. Green Worm: Main Moltara Page: Cogs Togs
3. Blue Worm: Moltara Caves: In front of Petpetorium.
4. Red Worm: Main Moltara Page: Town Hall.
5. Rainbow Worm: Main Moltara Page: Bottom right corner.
6. Orange Worm: Moltara Main Page: In front of Tunnel Tumble.
7. Pink Worm: Moltara Caves: Front of Magma Pool.
8. White Worm: Main Moltara Page: Near Molten Morsels.
9. Yellow Worm: Moltara Caves: Near Petpetorium.
10. Black Worm: Moltara Caves: Near Petpetorium.

Step 3] Once you have collected all the worms, Head to your inventory and click on your Lantern. You should see an option to put all of the Worms into the lantern.
Step 4] After you’re done Step 3, Head on over to the Dark Cave, Link here: http://www.neopets.com/magma/darkcave.phtml
Step 5] Go into the Dark cave and follow the paths, untill you find the Red Moltite.
Step 6] Head over to Tangors and Workshop can Create a petpet. The combinations are as follows:
Val = Shiny Obsidian + Red Moltite
Nik = Shiny Obsidian + Red Moltite + Miscellaneous Gears + Scrap Metal and Stone
Albot = Shiny Obsidian + Red Moltite + Scrap Metal and Stone
Erge = Red Moltite + Miscellaneous Gears + Scrap Metal and Stone
Teek = Miscellaneous Gears + Red Moltite + Shiny Obsidian
Rav = Red Moltite + Miscellaneous Gears
Goy = Red Moltite + Scrap Metal and Stone
Valteek =Val + Teek
Goyalbotnik = Goy + Albot + Nik
Raverge = Rav + Erge
Vaggendotra 5000 = Adagio + Daloop + Goyalbotnik + Raverge + Valteek
Step 7] After creating a petpet (which needs the Red Moltite) Head over to the Magma Pool and the Tonu should let you in. then simply choose your pet to paint 😀
