Ok, I know everyone wants one of those “Get 100K+ Schemes” that works in minutes. I’m with ’em. But those aren’t out yet so this will work till then:
Start of by playing lots of sponsor games. They aren’t awesome, but trust me. Its worth it. My personal favorite is Lucky Charms or something, like it. These games are probably 100 NP per 100 pts scored and they are so easy!
Next, play Meerca Chase (II). Try it on either Level 1 (Super Beginner) and 2. Hard level goes so fast I can’t even keep up with it.
Then, go play Tombola, grab some omelette, try the Shrine, Fruit Machine, and MOST definitely go to the Money Tree. Take your time at the MT. If you stop seeing the picture when you don’t get something, stop. It won’t let you have anything also from there until the next day.
Then, go to the Health Food store. You can buy REALLY cheap stuff there. Like a Veggie Burger for under 100 NP (depending on how much you haggle) and put it in your shop for around 200 and they will sell.
Neopets Quick Neopoints Free
Try the trading post for good deals too. If you catch a “Newbie” on there, you can probably give them something junky for whatever they have and they’ll accept. He he.
Hope this helped you out! – Macey
So you are new to the world of Neopets, huh? First of all let me just say... WELCOME!! I am assuming you are here because you want to know how to make Neopoints; right now that may seem like a very daunting prospect but I assure you that it is very easy. It is just a matter of finding the method that works best for you.
Listed here is pretty much every way there is to make Neopoints, all you have to do is work your way through them and find which ones are easiest and most productive for you. If you don't like one method because you find it boring or it doesn't earn you very much then don't do it, try something else! Variety will keep your Neopets experience interesting and will also see the figures in your bank account grow. ;)
Games
Perhaps the easiest way to earn Neopoints is by playing games. Each game has its own Neopoint ratio, in other words how many points you need to score in the game in order to earn 1 Neopoint.
In this case there is a Neopoint ratio of 14.29, which means (as shown in the image) means that every 14.29 points in the game will earn you 1 NP. Now for each game you can earn a maximum of 1,000 Neopoints each time you submit a score, so you can use the Neopoint ratio to work out what score you will need to achieve in the game in order to be awarded 1,000 Neopoints. It is worth checking the ratio before you start playing a game, however, as TNT uses an automated program which updates them on the 25th of every month. The program looks at the average score people have been submitting and alters the Neopoint ratio accordingly to balance out the flow of Neopoints entering the economy, increasing it to make it more difficult to earn 1,000 Neopoints from the game if a lot of people do well at it and decreasing it to make it easier if people are submitting lower scores.
For each game you can submit a maximum of 3 scores a day, after that you can still carry on playing for fun but you won't earn anything for it. Once you find a game that you are good at and enjoy playing I would suggest adding it to your favourites (by clicking on the little grey heart at the top to turn it red), that way you can build up a list of games to play each day so you can start earning some regular Neopoints! Also, each day there will be a featured game, submitting scores for this game will earn you double the Neopoints that day!
If you're still not sure where to start, we have a 50k a Day Guide that will point you towards some games with ratios that make it easy to earn NP. Again, you don't have to play any of those games; find whichever work best for you. And remember that practise makes perfect!
Restocking
Restocking is where you buy an item (usually in an official Neopian shop) for less and sell it for more than you bought it for - to make a profit! On certain items you may be able to make HUGE profits and that is why you'll hear many 'rich' people say they 'restock' to earn their Neopoints.
For example, if I bought something in the official Neopets shops (that's where most people restock) for 200 NP and sold it for 954 NP, I just made a 754 NP profit off that item. It's a great way to get some quick Neopoints. However that is only a very very brief overview of what restocking is. For a more complete guide and more information on what restocking is and how to do it, I would advise taking a look at this page. :)
Shop Wizard Stalking
Sometimes people can misprice items in their shops, for example they may mean to price something at 10,000 Neopoints but they accidentally price it at 1,000 Neopoints, so it is worth checking the Shop Wizard every now and again for items like Codestones, Bottled Faeries and even Morphing Potions. It may seem a bit, well, mean to take advantage of another person's mistake but as it is not against TNT's rules you only have your own conscience to wrestle with. :P
Of course, sometimes people price items in their shop a lot lower than average on purpose in order to sell them quicker. You may find that whilst using the Shop Wizard to price items in your shop you will find a bargain that you can go on to resell. You can get a Shop Wizard ban though if you try to search items too many times, it's only short though and you will be able to use it again the following hour. Although this isn't the most reliable way of making Neopoints it can make a nice supplement to your income.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Erm, no I'm a Jubjub... 0_o
Auction Sniping
It sounds a lot more painful than it is! This method is more for people who have some Neopoints on hand already to buy items with (playing a few games is the best way to earn these initial Neopoints). Once you have some cash to play with, head over to the Auction House to see what is up for grabs. The main page will show you the next 20 lots which will be closing soon and you can refresh at this page to update the list. Snipers lurk on this page and look for lots where the 'Current Price' is lower than the usual price that item would sell for and then quickly make a last minute bid to 'snipe' these items for a cheap price so that they can then sell them on for a profit. You will have to be quick though as these lots literally only have a few seconds left for users to place bids in before they close!
Legs? You don't need legs to snipe!
Once you have more experience with the site and have a better awareness of items and their approximate worth, you can use the Auction Genie to search for specific items that are being auctioned cheaply. Occasionally you will find an expensive item with a current asking price below what it is worth, where the next increment would put the price above what anybody would be willing to pay for it. For example, you may happen across a Paint Brush with a current asking price of 300,000 NP and a bid increment of 150,000 NP. If the Paint Brush was being sold in other auctions or on the Trading Post for 400,000 NP then you can be fairly certain that if you place a bid then nobody else is going to bid on it since they could easily find one for cheaper. Therefore you end up with a Paint Brush you can then sell on for a 100,000 NP profit.
Contests
There are many contests for you to take part in on Neopets and there is pretty much something for everybody. So whatever you're good at I'm sure you will be able to find a way of turning your talent into Neopoint signs! For a complete listing of all the contests you can enter visit here, but here is a brief list of some of the more popular ones:
Neopets Cheats For Neopoints
- Caption Competition - You can win 5,000-10,000 NP and a rare item.
- Story Telling Competition - You can win 2,000 NP and a rare item.
- Poetry Gallery - You can win 1,000 NP and a rare item.
- Art Gallery - You can win 10,000 NP and a rare item.
- Mystery Pic - You can win a share of 2,000,000 NP and a rare item (depending on how many people enter).
- Gallery Spotlight - You can win 10,000 NP.
Daily Freebies
There are a number of activities on the Neopets site which you can do once a day for free, hence they have become known as Dailies amongst users. It is possible to win prizes and Neopoints from these dailies, such as The Fruit Machine where you can win Neopoints, food items and on rare occasions even Paint Brushes! For a list of these activities why not visit Jellyneo's daily service (though you will need a Jellyneo account to use this feature, but accounts are free so what are you waiting for!). Here you can manage your own little 'To-Do List' of all the dailies available each day so you can keep track of what you have done and which you have yet to do. :D
Also let's not forget about random events, as any items you find lying around or are gifted with whilst playing the site can be sold on. The same applies for any items you collect from giveaways like the Advent Calendar, although these items may not be worth very much because of the amount of them available in Neopia.
Stock Market
The Stock Market is a very tricky section of the site to get to grips with and if you are very new to Neopets it is probably best to stay away from this area completely as it requires you to have a certain amount of Neopoints on hand already to invest and it can take a long time for you to see any significant gain from it. However if you have 100,000 Neopoints or so that you aren't doing anything with and don't mind waiting a while to see your investment pay off then read on.
Neopia's Stock Market works a lot like the real life version, you purchase stocks in one of the many companies available and then wait for the price of that stock to rise as the company's worth increases. Then you can sell your shares for more money than you originally bought them for, making vast amounts of profit in the process. However the market can go both ways and the value of your stock can drop to well below the price you paid for it, the company could even go bankrupt and then your stocks would be completely worthless. :( It's made even trickier still by the so-called 'advice' handed out by Nigel the resident stockbroker, who seems to just blurt out random things and claim it is inside information.
This is just a very brief overview, though. For a more complete guide, take a look at this page.
Neopia's answer to Simon Cowell
And that is your lot! Hopefully something in there will have appealed to you and will have you on your way to earning your fortune! Good luck, and feel free to send me gifts when you are rich. ;)
(Only joking, I don't really expect you to send me anything and I would rather earn things myself anyway :P).
